Lilian Muzorewa - Registered Manager / Director
I am a registered nurse with a Diploma in Nursing and more than 11 years of professional nursing experience. Before qualifying as a nurse, I worked for up to 13 years as a support worker and senior support worker in a care home and supported living. My duties included providing personal care, preparing meals, administering medication, feeding, escorting individuals with learning difficulties and dementia to GP appointments, and supporting people with autism. I led shifts and supervised five support workers.
After qualifying as a nurse, I gained experience in a hospital’s elective surgical ward, general surgery, surgical assessment, medical wards, Orthopedics, Respiratory, A&E, Gastroenterology, Medical Short Stay, and the Older Persons & Frailty Unit. My responsibilities included admitting patients for surgery, providing pre- and post-operative care, administering medications, and discharging patients.
My latest position was at a Mental Health Rehabilitation Home, where I admitted and discharged residents, managed their physical and mental health needs, and administered medications. I conducted risk assessments and collaborated with residents and their families to develop individualized care plans. I also participated in Multidisciplinary Meetings and supervised a team of ten healthcare assistants.
I bring extensive knowledge and experience to Hazelgrove Manor Care, helping customers remain safe, independent, and comfortable at home. I am committed to tailoring care to each customer while respecting their cultural background, needs, preferences, and personal goals.
Dr William Muzorewa – Director
I worked for 15 years as a support worker at a forensic psychiatric hospital, eventually becoming a team leader overseeing eight staff members. I earned a PhD in agriculture and environmental science and taught college-level agriculture for three years, but I remained passionate about supporting people with mental health issues, dementia, and disabilities. To further this commitment, I completed an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care and Oliver McGowan training. I worked as a community support worker for NHS Mental Health Teams for Older People, helping prevent hospital admissions by supporting access to treatment and helping service users remain in their homes and communities.
Drawing on my experience and passion, my wife Lilian and I founded Hazelgrove Manor Care to provide trustworthy home care. Our staff receive role-specific training and supervision to ensure safe, respectful support.
We focus on understanding each customer’s needs and support preferences to develop personalized care plans together.
